Exploring Barcelona’s Oldest Park!

The labyrinth at Parc del Laberint d'Horta

Our group is researching the natural side of Barcelona, Spain’s second most populated city. Despite being such a large urban center, the city and its inhabitants highly value green spaces and public access to nature. You never have to walk far to find a great park to walk your dog, snap some photos, or just sit down and take in the sights!

Lorem Yesterday, we explored the aParc de Laberint d’Horta, the oldest park in Barcelona. It’s hidden in plain sight, surrounded by urban streets and architecture, but it hold some of the most gorgeous greenery this city has to offer! Designed by Italian architect, Domenico Bagutti, in 1808, the park has a romantic style that pays homage to Roman mythology through the numerous sculptures seen throughout the park. Filled with gardens, ponds, and even a hedge maze, Parc de Laberint d’Horta is a gorgeous and quiet spot to relax and enjoy the environment! We ended our time there with a race through the labyrinth, and despite wearing the least practical shoes, Carson escaped first! Check it out:
