Street Performers of Barcelona: Art Around Every Corner

Barcelona is a city filled with art and culture wherever you go, and the streets are no exception. Walking around, you will see entertainers of all kinds singing or playing guitars or even blowing bubbles to entertain crowds. While the streets are beautiful without these performers, there would be so much less life and energy in the city without them.

While many performers can be found outside popular tourist areas like the Catedral de Barcelona, the Basílica de la Sagrada Família, and the Arc de Triomf, they can also be found beneath the streets in the metro stations.

During the day, the performers line the streets, but at night, they take to the metro to entertain hordes of people going out and returning home.

Through our time here, we have gone on tours and walked around the city, constantly being greeted by the tune of a local musician or the fun that comes with popping bubbles someone is blowing just to put a smile on your face. We have run into performers in the stations singing as well as on the metros themselves, mostly accompanied by just a speaker and a microphone. No matter where you visit in Barcelona, there will always be someone ready to brighten your day with a street performance.
